In the popular Nimman area but off the beaten path, Schöne Coffee is a petite alternative with a different vibe. The young woman who took our coffee orders was as sweet as pie, and made an excellent iced mocha. The cafe is teeny, but with a decent number of seating options – two 2-tops, two 4-tops, and a bar where you can stand or sit on tall bar stools. There is also a decent sized outdoor area, with two bars with bar stools and a large table with room for up to 8.
I enjoyed a super pleasant couple of hours here, and got a lot of work done. The coffee was great, and the air conditioning was strong but not too strong. I can see giving Schöne Coffee a regular spot in my cafe rotation.
A Notable Downside – The cafe smelled like mothballs, which was kind of weird. I don’t mind the smell, but if you do, this place isn’t for you.

Music: Smooth jazz alert! Ugh. Yes, they played some smooth jazz, but it quickly sequed into Thai pop music.
